IYF- participants learn various aspects of Yoga

Yoga enthusiasts participated in various aspects of Yoga and spiritualism on the second day of the International Yoga Festival in Rishikesh on Thursday. Apart from this, glimpses of Yoga and the culture and heritage of Uttarakhand were seen in the sky in the State’s first drone show of its kind held on the second day of the festival. The drones were used to depict aspects of Yoga along with Badrinath, Kedarnath, Gangotri, Yamunotri and the glimpses of Uttarakhand. The show was prepared by IIT Delhi.
Earlier during the day, participants from across India and abroad attended sessions on Yoga, meditation and spiritualism. The morning session lasted two hours comprising camps conducted by instructors from six noted Yoga schools including Isha Foundation, Art of Living, Ramamani Iyengar Memorial Yog Institute, Kaivalyadham, Krishnamacharya Yog Mandiram and Shivanand Yoga School.
Art of Living then conducted a meditation session while Ayurveda college organised a session on Nadi examination. Conducting a session on cosmic healing, Urmila Pandey stressed on using Yoga and cosmic healing to tackle negative energy which causes physical and mental issues. Various other sessions were held during the afternoon. Ganga Arti and a musical presentation of Seeta Svayamwar were held in the evening along with Punjabi Gatka performance.
