In latest news from Uttarakhand, a day after the secretary (Home) Shailesh Bagauli resigned as per the direction of the Election Commission, Dilip Kumar Rajaram Jawalkar was named the acting secretary (Home). After the State government sent a list of three officers as replacement, the Election Commission zeroed in on Jawalkar. He was asked to take charge immediately on receipt of the appointment letter.
