Cabinet minister Ganesh Joshi held a public hearing programme at his camp office on Thursday, where he listened to the grievances of people arriving from remote rural areas as well as different parts of the city. A large number of complainants raised issues related to education, health services, roads, electricity, drinking water, pensions, housing and social welfare schemes.

During the hearing, Joshi resolved some complaints on the spot, while directing departmental officials to address the remaining issues within a fixed time frame. He also issued instructions over the phone, asking officials to take all complaints on priority and ensure there is no negligence in their redressal.

Emphasising speedy grievance redressal, the minister said that effective coordination among departments is the government’s top priority. He added that under the leadership of chief minister Pushkar Singh Dhami, the State government is committed to public welfare and public hearing programmes serve as an important link between the administration and the people for timely resolution of their problems.
