Joshi tells officials to expedite Sainya Dham construction

Soldier Welfare minister Ganesh Joshi inspected the under construction Sainya Dham in Guniyal Gaon, Dehradun on Tuesday. The minister expressed annoyance at the slow pace of the construction and directed the officers concerned to expedite the construction work which is in the last phase. He said that special focus should be on maintaining the divinity and magnificence of the Sainya Dham.
Interacting with the media persons, the minister said that Sainya Dham is being constructed on the idea of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and is a dream project of the State government. He said that the Dham is being constructed after the study of martyrs’ memorials in different parts of the country.
In the central pillar of the Dham, soil from the homes of 1,734 martyrs and sacred water of 28 rivers is emplaced. He informed that arrangements for sound and light show and musical show will be made in the Sainya Dham and it will have auditorium, tanks and other equipment.
The minister said that the Dham is being constructed to express gratitude towards martyrs and to preserve the glorious past of valour of the armed forces.
He added that once completed the Sainya Dham will be dedicated to the Veer Naris and the people of the State and it will inspire the future generation to love the motherland.
The MD of Peyjal Nigam (work execution agency) Ranvir Singh Chauhan, deputy director colonel (retd) MS Jodha and others accompanied the minister .
