The seriousness of the land subsidence in Joshimath at suggestions for the government on this disaster were discussed in detail in the BJP’s working committee meeting on Sunday. The party’s State general secretary Aditya Kothari presented the report of the party’s 14-member committee regarding the damage caused by the disaster and the status of the relief works.
He said that the disaster has caused considerable financial damage to the affected people. The affected people are satisfied at being shifted to safer locations on the directions of chief minister Pushkar Singh Dhami. The issue will be discussed further in detail on the second day of the meeting on Monday.
