Journey of Sound lecture series held at University of Patanjali

The department of Performing Arts of the University of Patanjali organised a one-day lecture series on the topic ‘Nadayatra from Anahata to Aahata’ or the Creative Journey of Sound.
The dean of the Institute of Yoga and Humanities and Oriental Studies, Sadhvi Devpriya said that the journey of sound is an important element that connects all dimensions of music.
Several professors of the university, including Alka Giri and Ashwini Srivastava, participated in the programme. Sarita Pathak Yajurvedi gave a speech on the topic ‘Relationship between the scriptures and experiments in Indian music and the basis of creativity’. Then, Anaya Thatte elaborated on the basic outline of music research, primary and secondary sources and the initial process of research. The third and last speaker, Jyoti Singh gave a lecture on the topic ‘Indian Musicology and Global Musicology, Transcendental Change and Technology’.
The director, Distance Education, University of Patanjali, Satyendra Mittal also spoke on the occasion.
