Jr engineers’ vacant posts in Irrigation department to be filled soon: Maharaj

The State Irrigation minister Satpal Maharaj assured that the vacant posts of junior engineers in the Irrigation department would be filled soon while addressing the conclusion of the 13th Mahaadhiveshan-2025 of the Uttarakhand Diploma Engineers Association held here on Wednesday. 

Maharaj said that the achievements and expertise rooted in the glorious engineering history dating back to the days when    Uttar Pradesh was undivided was a matter of pride for them all. “Even before independence, the department had constructed and developed large irrigation projects in the Ganga-Yamuna Doab. This department also played a crucial role in helping the nation achieve self-sufficiency in food production,” he said.

 He also spoke appreciatively of the construction work being carried on in two major projects in the State- Song Dam and Jamrani Dam under the effective management of the Irrigation department’s engineers.
