Thursday, 19 OCTOBER 2023  | PNS | DEHRADUN

The BJP leader Ravindra Jugran met the director general (DG) of school Education Bansidhar Tiwari on Wednesday and expressed his disappointment about the Sun Valley School not following rules under the Right to Education (RTE) Act. He said that 25 children were allotted to Sun Valley School as per the lottery allocation system under the RTE Act and Uttarakhand Compulsory Free Education Act 2011 but despite this, 20 young students are yet to be given admission to the school. He said that it has been three months since the department asked the school to give admission to these students as per the rules but the school consistently neglected the instructions. Poor parents of these children continue to make several rounds of the school in the hope of getting admission but the school administration continues to play with their children’s future. Jugran said that the Education department must take strict action against the school to provide justice to the deprived and poor families of these children soon while adding that if required, he will go to the High Court in this matter.
