A man was killed by an elephant near the Patna waterfall on the Lakshmanjhula-Neelkanth route early on Friday morning. The jumbo also demanaged a shanty being used as a shop and a car. Locals informed the police at about 6:30 AM that a man had been killed by an elephant.
According to the police, an elephant was spotted on the road at about 4 AM following which vehicules were stopped temporarily for safety. A man known to saunter on the road near Patna waterfall was killed by the elephant. The Forest department was also informed about the incident.
