The Kailash Mansarovar Yatra will begin on June 30 this year. The Uttarakhand government and the Ministry of External Affairs will conduct this pilgrimage. According to State officials, Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s visit to Adi Kailash made the facilitation of Kailash Mansarovar Yatra easier.

Pilgrims travel through Lipulekh Pass in Pithoragarh district to reach Kailash Mansarovar. However, this pilgrimage was stalled due to the Covid-19 pandemic in 2020. Officials claimed that in addition to PM Modi’s efforts, special efforts by chief minister Pushkar Singh Dhami, the decision has been taken to conduct this pilgrimage this year.
