A huge crowd of devotees have thronged the revered Kainchi Dham hallowed by Neem Karoli Baba located in Bhowali in Nainital on the occasion of the religious fair organised to mark the foundation day of shrine. A day before the fair commenced, at least 20,000 devotees reached the dham. The organisers of the fair claimed that the devotees keep coming from all corners of the country and this time the turnout may make a record. Police swung into action in view of the surging number of devotees. Among the senior officers engaged in crowd-control exercises include the Kumaon IG Nilesh Anand Bharney, SSP Pankaj Bhatt, SP City Harbans Singh and the mela officer Umesh Malik.
