The chairperson of the Uttarakhand State Commission for Women (USCW) Kusum Kandwal will continue in her role till the government appoints a new eligible person to the said position.
According to the officials, Kandwal’s term as the USCW chairperson expired on January 6, 2025. However, since that time, no new appointment has been made to the position.
In light of the difficulties faced in the functioning of the USCW, the authorities have decided that Kandwal will remain in her role and continue to perform the duties of the commission till a new chairperson is appointed.
