Noted orthopaedic surgeon and Padma Shri recipient Dr. BKS Sanjay was presented the Kavya Bhushan Samman by Hindi Ki Goonj, New Delhi. The award was presented during a discussion on his poetry book Uphar Sandesh Ka.
Eminent Hindi scholar Yogendra Nath Sharma ‘Arun’ said that a doctor who becomes goddess Saraswati’s son will be a more successful doctor and inspire others. Hansraj College principal Rama Pandey described Dr Sanjay’s work and his personality as inspirational. She said that each poem in the book is a complete story in itself. Other eminent personalities also expressed their views on the occasion.
Earlier, Dr. Sanjay credited woman power- his grandmother, mother, and wife for his achievements. Women are the basis of a happy and healthy society, he stressed.
