With the inauguration date of National Games- January 28- drawing near, the Kumaon commissioner Deepak Rawat conducted inspection of the mini stadium in Haldwani and the international stadium at Gaulapar. He directed the agency engaged in constructing the sports stadiums to complete the work by January 20 without fail.
Later, while talking to the media persons, he said that aside from setting the deadline for completing the construction of the sports stadiums, he had asked those concerned to complete work on the swimming pool where water sports of the National Games are to be held. Besides, he ordered electricity-related works to be completed at the earliest.
Notably, seven games are to be played in Haldwani for the National Games in which about 2000 guest players will participate.
