The Kedarkhand tableau of Uttarakhand was exhibited as part of the Republic Day parade at Rajpath in New Delhi on Tuesday. The state’s tableau was received with considerable appreciation by the crowds which started clapping in enthusiasm as the tableau came on Rajpath. The State’s information department deputy director and team leader of the tableau team, KS Chauhan and 12 artistes performed as part of the tableau on the theme song of Jai Jai Kedara.
The front portion of the tableau displayed the state animal musk deer, state bird monal pheasant and state flower Brahmakamal whereas behind these a model of the Kedarnath temple compound was displayed along with devotees. Behind the temple, the Divya Shila- the large boulder which protected the shrine during the 2013 disaster, was also exhibited as part of the tableau.
