The Bharatiya Janata Party State president Mahendra Bhatt said that the result of the Kedarnath Assembly bypoll will not impact the stability of the State government but the BJP considers it their moral duty to accelerate development and fulfill the aspirations of the people. He stated this while addressing people during election campaigning in Kedarnath on Friday. He said that the BJP has also begun finalising booth-level strategies to ensure maximum voter turnout in Kedarnath Vidhan Sabha bypoll apart from carrying out the ongoing campaign trail. The BJP has intensified its public outreach in Kedarnath as part of the ongoing election campaign. Entering the second phase of its strategy, the BJP aims to secure a decisive victory, uniting the entire Kedarnath to send a message of development and cultural heritage to the nation and the world, Bhatt said. He emphasised the party’s commitment to the development and welfare of the area, stating, “We are not here to defeat anyone but to ensure uninterrupted progress and service in Kedarnath Valley. The election results will not impact the stability of the government but it is our moral duty to accelerate development and fulfill the aspirations of the people.” Referring to the late BJP MLA Shaila Rani, he added, “The untimely demise of Shaila Rani was a significant loss. However, the BJP, under Chief Minister Pushkar Dhami’s leadership, has committed to realising her vision for the region. Record-breaking development projects have already been initiated, and Asha Nautiyal, known for her simplicity, sensitivity and active involvement, is the ideal candidate to continue this momentum.” He said that the double-engine government has laid a strong foundation but needs to accelerate progress at a bullet’s pace. To achieve this, it is crucial for the people to support the BJP and ensure the lotus blooms in this sacred land, he added.
