Kedarnath, Gangotri & Yamunotri to open today, 22 lakh register to visit Char Dham

At least 22 lakh people have registered for the Char Dham Yatra slated to start today. The Kedarnath, Gangotri and Yamunotri temples will be reopened ceremoniously to the devotees today, marking the start of the Char Dham Yatra. Meanwhile, the Panch Mukhi Doli of lord Kedarnath reached Kedarnath on Thursday evening along with throngs of devotees.

According to information provided by the Tourism department,

22,76,696 people had registered till Thursday to visit the Char Dham shrines and Hemkund Sahib. According to official data, 7,83,107 people have registered to visit Kedarnath, 6,83,424 to visit Badrinath, 4,06,263 to visit Gangotri and 3,56,134 to visit Yamunotri. Apart from the Char Dham shrines, 48,041 people have registered to visit Hemkund Sahib Gurudwara.

Out of these people who have registered, 17,60,749 have registered on the website, 3,10,294 through the mobile phone application and 2,05,926 through WhatsApp.
