The Uttarakhand Congress has said that the memorandum submitted by the BJP MLA from Kedarnath Shailarani Rawat to the chief secretary S S Sandhu regarding arrangements and facilities in Kedarnath shrine is an admission of by the ruling party that there is gross mismanagement in the arrangements in the Char Dham Yatra.
The Congress leaders have also expressed regret over the fact that the CS is accepting the memorandum sitting on his chair while the legislator was standing. The Pradesh Congress Committee (PCC) president Karan Mahara said that Kedarnath MLA has submitted in the memorandum what the Congress party is saying about mismanagement in the Char Dham Yatra. He said that the numbers of deaths in the Char Dham Yatra are increasing but the State government is intent on sitting idle on the issue.
The vice president of State Congress Surya Kant Dhasmana also said that the Rawat in her memorandum has raised questions on the facilities and arrangements done in the Char Dham Yatra and she has exposed her own government.
