The Bharatiya Janata Party has alleged that the Congress has always targetted Sanatan Dharma and Hindu deities now the shrines in Uttarakhand have become part of its agenda. The BJP State media in-charge Manveer Singh Chauhan said that the Congress which had tried to hamper construction of the Ram Mandir in Ayodhya has become more aggressive due to the disappointment from its loss in the Lok Sabha elections. Attacking Sanatan culture is part of the Congress’ agenda, he said.
“Kedarnath and other Dhams in Uttarakhand send a message to the world but the Congress is using illogical on the importance of the Char Dham to create a negative debate. How can anyone make a duplicate of Lord Shiva’s abode Kedarnath in any other place? Everyone knows that the ancient and sacred form of Kedarnath cannot be changed but the Congress is still indulging in propaganda for political gains,” he said.
He said that the allegations levelled by the Congress are baseless and false. The trust making the temple in Delhi has already clarified that it is neither using the word Dham nor is any Shilapujan being done there. The Congress is levelling fantastic allegations in an attempt to wash off the taint of being anti-Sanatan, Chauhan said.
He said, “The Congress is aiming to win the Kedarnath Assembly bypoll, which will not be possible for it. The BJP government under Prime Minister Narendra Modi and chief minister Pushkar Singh Dhami has undertaken considerable effort to improve the condition of the pilgrimage sites in Uttarakhand. The Congress is pretending to be a lover of Sanatan Dharma but it is failing in its efforts to convince the public.The people know the basic character of the Congress and will never forget what it has done against Sanatan Dharma,” the BJP State media in-charge added.
