Kedarnath victory slap on face of those against Sanatan Dharma: BJP
PNS | DEHRADUN
Thanking the voters for electing its candidate in the Kedarnath Assembly bypoll, the Bharatiya Janata Party has termed it a slap on the face of those who tried to taint the image of the Char Dham and hinder the pilgrimage.
The BJP State president Mahendra Bhatt thanked the voters while claiming that the BJP government is facilitating unprecedented development in the Kedarnath constituency and across the State. He also thanked the voters of the Kedar valley for rejecting the Congress. Bhatt said that the confidence placed by the public through its votes in this bypoll is faith placed in the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, chief minister Pushkar Singh Dhami and the BJP organisation. He said that this will energise the party enough to ensure its victory in the local body polls, Panchayat elections and the 2027 Vidhan Sabha elections.
It is pertinent to mention here that the BJP had put in all effort to ensure a victory in the Kedarnath bypoll especially as Kedarnath Dham has been projected as special for Prime Minister Narendra Modi, where he is stated to have spent time in spiritual practice. Observers state that there was talk about the voters being miffed at the BJP due to factors including aspects related to the pilgrimage and other issues, but these were evidently handled.
