Kedarnath Yatra of Uttarakhand Congress continues

The Kedarnath Pratishta Raksha Yatra of Uttarakhand Congress reached Sitapur (Rudraprayag) on Thursday. On the ninth day the Yatra commenced from Guptkashi on Thursday morning. The Pradesh Congress Committee (PCC) president Karan Mahara who is leading the Yatra said that the Congress leaders and workers are moving forward with a sacred objective and Lord Shiva will bestow his blessings on the Yatris. He said that the BJP has offended the religious sentiments of Hindus by transporting sacred Shila (stone) from Kedarnath to Buradi in Delhi for construction of a Kedarnath temple there.
He said the Yatra of Congress party from Har ki Paidi to Kedarnath is about increasing social harmony in the State. The PCC president said that the Congress party has always encouraged harmony and development. Mahara said that the government has changed the name of Krishna Mai Gufa in Kedarnath to Modi Gufa which is wrong.
Former chief minister Harish Rawat, leader of opposition (LoP) Yashpal Arya, former PCC president Ganesh Godiyal, former cabinet minister Harak Singh Rawat, MLA Lakhpat Butola, senior leaders Gopal Rawat, Pradeep Tamta, Ranjit Rawat, Lalit Pharswan and other leaders took part in the Yatra on the ninth day.
