Out on bail for campaigning for the ongoing Lok Sabha election since May 10, the Delhi chief minister Arvind Kejriwal moved the Supreme Court, appealing for a seven-day extension of the interim bail that is ending on June 1, after the completion of the seven-phase poll. He petitioned he be granted an extended bail till June 9. He was mandated to surrender on June 2.
Notably, the CM who is also the nation convenor of Aam Aadmi Party had been arrested in a money laundering case related to liquor scam on March 24 after he skipped several Enforcement Directorate summons for questioning.
