The Delhi chief minister and the national convener of the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) Arvind Kejriwal will be on his three-day visit to Haridwar from February 6. This will be the seventh visit of Kejriwal to the poll bound state and the second this year. He has so far made five major announcements or guarantees in the state in view of the Assembly elections that include 300 units of free electricity, one lakh jobs in six months or Rs 5000 monthly allowance for unemployed youths, free pilgrimage, monthly transfer of Rs 1,000 to the bank accounts of women aged above 18 years and Samman Rashi of Rs one crore to the families of each martyr of the army, police and paramilitary force of the state if the party wins the elections. It would be the first time when Kejriwal will be staying in the state for more than a day for the election campaign. He is also expected to release the party’s manifesto or Guarantee Patra during this three-day visit and conduct a door to door campaign but the party leaders have not confirmed it yet. According to them, Kejriwal will participate in a conclave, interact with mediapersons during his stay in Haridwar and will possibly release the main manifesto. Other details of the schedule will be disclosed on Sunday after his arrival in Haridwar, said an AAP leader. However, the party has maintained that the Delhi CM will not visit any other district for the campaign in this visit.
