In view of the increase in the cases of the Covid-19 in Dehradun district and nearby areas, the Rajpur Road MLA Khajan Das visited the Government Doon Medical College (GDMC) hospital on Wednesday. During the visit, he reviewed the preparation of the hospital to deal with the situation. Das directed the hospital administration to make necessary arrangements of vaccines, ICU, oxygen cylinder and medicines in view of the increasing cases of Covid-19.
The MLA said that the doctors should give medicines for at least 15 days to the patients coming from far-flung mountainous areas for treatment. He directed them to prescribe generic medicines, proper operation of public facilities in the building premises, and timely completion of construction works. Das said that the officers should resolve the apprehensions of the attendants of the patients and behave in a proper manner with them. He warned that laxity will not be tolerated in the treatment of patients. Das said that GDMC hospital is known for its services in the field of health for a long time and hundreds of people visit the hospital not only from Uttarakhand but also from Uttar Pradesh and Himachal Pradesh for their treatment.
