Khan threatens self immolation at Congress Bhawan

A Congress leader has threatened self immolation if a former government employee is fielded by the party in the election for the post of the Ramnagar municipal council chairman. Former Youth Congress State general secretary Taeef Khan has threatened that he will commit self immolation at the Congress Bhawan in Dehradun if Bhuwan Pandey is given the party ticket in the municipal elections in Ramnagar.
Khand released a video in which he states that thousands of Congress workers and leaders have worked hard for the party for decades in Ramnagar. He alleged that some party leaders got Pandey to seek voluntary retirement from his job at the Ramnagar municipality and that these Congress leaders are now planning to get him fielded by the party in the election for the post of the Ramnagar municipal council chairman.
He said that fighting for the honour of party workers, he will wait till late on Friday night for a decision by the party high command in this matter, failing which he will commit self immolation at the Congress Bhawan in Dehradun. Khan averred that he has been associated with the Congress for 32 years and has been working selflessly for the party.
