Taking strong exception to the derogatory remark made by the president of Congress party Mallikarjun Kharge for Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the Uttarakhand chief minister Pushkar Singh Dhami said on Friday that it reflects the ideology of the Congress party. The CM wrote on his Twitter handle that the derogatory word shows the ideology of the party plagued by dynastic politics and arrogance. It also reflects the exasperation of the party which has faced repeated rejection by the people of India.
In an election rally in Kalaburagi in the poll bound Karnataka on Thursday the Congress president Kharge compared PM Modi to a ‘poisonous snake’. The derogatory remark evoked a controversy with the BJP leaders strongly criticising the Congress president for the comment. Later Kharge offered an apology for the remark and claimed that he was not referring to PM Modi but to the ideology of the BJP.
“ PM Modi is a like a snake, you might think it’s poison or not. If you lick it you are dead,’’ Kharge had said at the Kalaburagi rally.
