Laldhang Kirby, Building Systems and Structures Private Limited, Haridwar, under its corporate social responsibility (CSR), handed over mess equipment, classroom furniture and water purifier to Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose Residential Hostel, Laldhang on Thursday. Among those present on the occasion were the former State Cabinet Minister Swami Yatishwaranand and the district chief education officer K K Gupta. Besides, members of Kirby family were present.
Kirby set up Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose Residential Hostel Laldhang: an institution dedicated to the children of the underprivileged sections of the society under its corporate social responsibility in the remote area of the district, which provides shelter to the homeless, orphans, nomads and abandoned children.
Swami Yatishwanand said that children studying from hostels are more self- reliant than those studying from home. The Kirby chief B.Ramachandra Rao also spoke on the occasion.
