The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) chief ministerial candidate colonel (retd) Ajay Kothiyal appealed to the first time voters to vote for the redevelopment of Uttarakhand in the ensuing assembly elections scheduled to be held on February 14. Kothiyal kickstarted the second phase of the seven-day long virtual campaign Navparivartan Samvad by addressing the first time voters of the state. He said in his address that this assembly election will be quite historical as it would be the first time when those voters will vote who were born in the 21st century and the newly formed Uttarakhand. He said that the youths must not vote just for themselves but for the development of their motherland which could not happen in the past 21 years due to BJP and Congress. Both parties have ruined the state and the youth should cast their first vote to save the state and eliminate these corrupt political parties, stated Kothiyal. He added, “I appeal to the first time voters to dedicate their first vote to the martyrs of the state. I appeal to dedicate this vote to empower women and for the quality education and health services in the state. I am not appealing you to vote for me but to vote for the redevelopment and the bright future of Uttarakhand.”
