Kothiyal to launch Free Pilgrimage registration campaign

Kejriwal had promised free pilgrimage to people of Uttarakhand if the party wins the 2022 assembly elections.
The chief ministerial candidate of the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) in Uttarakhand Ajay Kothiyal will launch a ten day Free Pilgrimage Campaign in Haridwar on Thursday to commence registration of interested locals for free pilgrimage next year. With this campaign, the party aims to reach maximum people to make them aware about the recent guarantee of the national convener of AAP and Delhi chief minister Arvind Kejriwal to introduce a free pilgrimage scheme in Uttarakhand if the party wins 2022 state assembly elections.
The spokesman of the party, Naveen Pirshali stated in a Press conference in Dehradun that Kothiyal will launch the campaign on Thursday and the registration process will commence from Friday. He said, “The party workers will run the campaign across the state from November 26 to December 5 to register the interested people of different communities. Over 1,000 public meetings will be conducted to provide information to locals about the pilgrimage scheme and registration process.” He said that pilgrimage is important for the people of all the religious communities and the AAP will ensure that people of Uttarakhand visit the shrines they wish to without worrying about any financial constraints after coming to power in the year 2022.
