KU players win medals in nat’l woodball competition

In latest news from Uttarakhand, 14 players of Kumaun University (KU) participated in the All India Inter-University Woodball women and Men Competition held in Bhopal from May 8 to 11 and won one gold, one silver and one bronze medals for the university. Informing this, the KU’s sports officer Nagendra Prasad Sharma said that the university team had participated in both men and women categories. While in the men’s category, Yogesh Pandey and Tejashwi Kumar won the gold medal in the doubles of the stroke event, Vaishali Pandey and Kashish Sharma in the women’s category won the silver medal in the doubles of the fairway event and in the single of the stroke event, Manjot Kaur won bronze medal.
The KU vice chancellor Prof Diwan Singh Rawat congratulated the medallists.
