KU professor nominated for Centre’s Research Associate Programme

The senior professor of the department of Biotechnology at the Bhimtal campus of Kumaun University Veena Pandey has been nominated as a member of the selection committee in the Research Associate Programme run by the Department of Biotechnology, Government of India. Projects are allotted after the committee evaluates projects related to Biotechnology.

For the projects of selected researchers, the researcher is paid a remuneration of Rs 58,000 in the first phase and Rs 61,000 in the second phase by the Government of India. Apart from this, the researcher is also given housing allowance and a contingency allowance of Rs 50,000 per year.

Happy with this selection, the vice- chancellor Prof Diwan Singh Rawat along with others congratulated her.
