The Kumaun University DSB campus officials said that a student of their Zoology department Toshiba had given her final oral PhD examination. The Delhi University professor Neeta Sehgal participated as an expert in this examination conducted online. Besides, a number of KU professors, including HCS Bisht, Manoj Kumar Arya, Deepika Goswami and Himanshu Lohani were present online at the research student’s oral exam. Toshiba did her research on the topic of triploidy induction using pressure shock at fry stage in snow trout and comparative growth of triploids and diploids.
She completed her research work under the guidance of department head and senior professor Major Harish Chandra Singh Bisht and N N Pandey.
