Kumaun University is all set to launch its first startup in the pharmacy department of the campus in Bhimtal under which various herbal and cosmetic products will be manufactured, the university’s vice- chancellor Prof Diwan Singh Rawat said, adding that this initiative would help students and researchers connect with industry. “This will strengthen the self-reliant India campaign,” he observed.
He further said that they would not only manufacture quality herbal and cosmetic products but accelerate the regional development by using local resources.
Notably, a three-day workshop was organised from March 20 to 23 in which a startup expert from Delhi University Hema Bhandari trained the participants on the process of startup manufacturing.
