KU VC apprises Guv of recent progress

In latest news from Utarakhand, Kumaun University vice chancellor Prof Diwan Singh Rawat called on the Governor and Chancellor of the university Lieutenant General Gurmeet Singh (retd) at Raj Bhavan and apprised him of the recent developments in the university. Sources close to the VC said that he had informed Singh about the training programmes being organised by the university, transfer of technology, newly launched researches and memorandums of understanding (MoU) inked with national and international institutions as well as the future work plans.
Further, Rawat provided information about the community library being set up in the five villages adopted by the university, Vidyasetu Yojana started to strengthen academic cooperation and partnership with affiliated educational institutions, library champion award started to encourage students to use the library regularly, KU alumni Nepal chapter, QR coding done to make information accessible to all and free online SSB training. Singh stressed on the researches benefiting the common people.
