Kumaon commissioner reviews Kainchi Dham temple master plan

In latest Uttarakhand news, the commissioner of Kumaon division Deepak Rawat reviewed the proposed master plan and beautification of the Kainchi Dham temple under the Manaskhand Mandir Mala Mission-meant to promote religious tourism- with officers of various departments and the temple committee members. Citing that execution of this master plan is a top priority of the chief minister, Rawat stressed that hi-tech facilities must be provided to the devotees. It is learnt that the review meeting was focused on preparing the detailed project report (DPR) at the earliest. He said that the DPR could be prepared with the participation of all the departments and coordination among them, adding that it should be prepared carefully with a futuristic vision. He further said that a new bridge would be built on Shipra river to prevent earthquakes. The bypass survey had already been done and alignment work would be completed soon. Along with hi-tech parking facility in the temple complex, hi-tech toilets, gardens and viewpoints would come up for the devotees under the master plan.
During the review meeting, the officers of various departments and the temple committee members placed their suggestions and after the review meeting was over, the commissioner conducted an on-site inspection of the Kainchidham temple.
Among the senior officers present at the meeting were the district magistrate Vandana, DIG Yogesh Singh Rawat, chief forest conservator Kumaon P K Patro, SSP P N Meena and municipal commissioner Pankaj Upadhyaya.
