Kumar orders survey of Haridwar’s municipal wards to ascertain quantity of garbage collection

After assuming charge recently as the municipal commissioner of Haridwar, Nandan Kumar has directed that a survey should be undertaken in all the wards of the Municipal Corporation of Haridwar (MCH) to ascertain how much garbage is being collected from each ward.
Chairing a meeting with sanitation inspectors and other officials concerned on Friday, he also directed them to ensure that garbage is collected daily on time and that challans are imposed on those found littering. Kumar further said that immediate action should be taken in case there is a transportation issue in lifting garbage from any area.
The municipal commissioner directed the officials to conduct a survey of all the municipal wards to ascertain the quantity of garbage being collected from each ward. This will help the corporation to make the sanitation service more effective and enable it to make a more effective plan to procure vehicles and other resources, he said. Assistant municipal commissioner Ravindra Dayal and other officials of the MCH were also present in the meeting.
