Kurmanchal bank working to further enhance facilities

The chairman of the Kurmanchal Nagar Sahkari Bank, Vinay Sah said that despite the Covid-19 lockdown, the bank distributed about Rs 1,306.59 crore in loans and advances last year. This is an unprecedented achievement for the bank which is also making effort to further enhance facilities. Sah said this while addressing media persons here on Tuesday.
He said that the bank will provide interest on monthly rates to saving account customers. It will be the first cooperative bank in the area to provide monthly interest. He said that the two-year Covid-19 period had also affected the business of the bank. Despite this, the Kurmanchal bank also succeeded in achieving its set targets. The growth rate in the last five years has been marked at 75 per cent. The credit deposit ratio was more than 59 per cent. The bank’s net profit has been more than 30 per cent which amounts to more than Rs 21 crore. Sah said that the bank is also making consistent efforts in the digital sphere. The bank’s customers are also being provided e-commerce facilities. The bank has 41 branches operating in the State with all necessary modern facilities. Efforts are also being undertaken to further improve digital banking. The secretary Akshay Sah and other officials of the bank were also present on the occasion. It was stated that the NPA of the bank was zero whereas the gross NPA was 2.6.
