A delegation of Kumaun University Non-Teaching Staff Union called on the newly appointed registrar Atul Joshi on Friday and reminded him of the 16-point demand presented earlier to the university administration. The main demands include building a parking lot, keeping public money in nationalised banks, regularisation of the wage employees and making of golden cards for all staffers.
After the talks, the union leaders expressed the hope that the problems they have been facing would soon be resolved under the direction of the new registrar. The delegation included the president of the union Mohit Sanwal and the president of Uttarakhand University Employees Federation Bhupal Singh Karayat.
