The vice- chancellor of Kumaun University Prof Diwan Singh Rawat conducted a surprise inspection of the three main hostels of the university: Gauradevi, Kalavati Pant and Rani Laxmibai. The senior university officials said that the main objective of this VC’s visit was to take stock of the condition of the hostels and solve problems, if any.
During the inspection, Prof Rawat instructed the Mandi Parishad to complete the work involving Gauradevi hostel in the next five days so that the students do not have to face any inconvenience. Along with this, he also inspected the Thandi Sadak in view of the recent damage caused by landslides and directed the Mandi Parishad to expedite this work and complete it on time.
