The annual sports day and prize distribution ceremony was celebrated at KV ONGC, Dehradun on Saturday. The chairperson, VMC, ED, HCA, ONGC R S Narayani in her address as the chief guest emphasised the importance of sports in shaping character and inculcating discipline and teamwork among students.
The day began with a march-past where all the four houses of the school participated. This was followed by oath-taking ceremony where the athletes pledged to uphold the values of fair play.The sports events held included races, relay races, Kabaddi, football, tug of war and various fun games. At the end of the events, the winners were awarded medals and certificates by the principal Sushil Kumar Dhiman.
