One labourer died while another got injured after a wall of a school collapsed over them on Monday morning in the Vasant Vihar area of Dehradun. The station officer (SO), Inspector Naresh Singh Rathore said that a local informed the police around noon that two young labourers from West Bengal named Krishna and Mojit Sheikh aged about 18 years and 21 years old respectively were working on demolishing the wall of the school when it suddenly collapsed over them.
After the police arrived on the scene, the injured labourers were immediately taken to the nearest hospital for treatment. Rathore informed that the deceased Krishna succumbed to his injuries around 3 pm while the other labourer was out of danger but was still under observation till late evening.
