U’khand Cong to march to Sitapur

In protest against the Lakhimpur Kheri violence and what it termed as unlawful detention of Congress general secretary Priyanka Gandhi, the Uttarakhand Congress would march to Sitapur in Uttar Pradesh (UP) on Thursday. Informing about the plan of the party, the spokesperson Garima Dasauni said that the Congress workers under the leadership of Pradesh Congress Committee (PCC) president Ganesh Godiyal would head towards Sitapur in UP via Bajpur, Kichha in Udham Singh Nagar on October 7. Dasauni said that the Congress wants the son of the union minister involved in the violence to be arrested and Priyanka Gandhi is released immediately. She said that the Congress party would continue supporting the farmers till the controversial farm acts are revoked.
