The Transport department has reopened its website for the potential beneficiaries like drivers, conductors and cleaners for one week. This is for those beneficiaries who had failed to get benefits under the monetary aid programme in the first two phases. The department has stated this to be the last chance to apply for any potential beneficiary across the state.
This department has reopened the website mainly for the transporters who did not receive Rs 2,000 as the first instalment of the monetary aid programme due to incorrect bank details provided by them and technical issues in the department’s website. The department has the data of a total of 2,741 beneficiaries from across the state who did not receive monetary aid.
The regional transport officer (enforcement) of Dehradun, Sandeep Saini informed that the RTO had sent a proposal to the department to reopen the website for the applicants who failed to be the beneficiaries in the first two phases. He said that the department has approved the proposal and reopened the website from Thursday. He said that the website will remain open till November 18 for eligible applicants. He said that this is the last chance for any eligible transporter to apply for the financial aid of Rs 2,000 for the next six months as the department will not resume the application process again in the state.
