The Higher Education department has extended the last date for admissions in the undergraduate and post graduate courses in the government colleges and State universities to September 20. The Higher Education minister Dhan Singh Rawat said that the decision has been taken in view of the interests of the students and tough geographical conditions of the State. He said that the students can register in the Samarth portal till September 17 for taking admission in the I year of UG and PG courses and the process of admissions will be over on September 19. The last date for submission of fee is September 20.
The minister said that so far 136830 students have registered themselves in the colleges affiliated by the Kumaun University, Nainital, Sri Dev Suman Uttarakhand University, Tehri and Soban Singh Jeena University, Almora. A total of 79,185 students have taken admissions so far.
