India’s first Chief of Defence Staff, Late General Bipin Rawat will be awarded the prestigious Padma Vibhushan. The announcement came on the occasion of the Republic Day. Bipin Rawat was a four-star general of the Indian Army. He died along with his wife and twelve other army personnel in a helicopter crash in Tamil Nadu last month.
