In latest news from Dehradun, though the Congress leader and former minister Harak Singh Rawat skipped ED date in the Pakhro Tiger Safari and land scam cases, citing his election preoccupation, his associate and the former president of the Rudraprayag district panchayat Laxmi Rana appeared before ED and was questioned for over three and half hours in connection with disproportionate asset case. Notably, the ED had summoned her on February 27 but she declined to appear on that day. She appeared two days later. Prior to the summon served on Rawat and Rana, the ED sleuths had conducted multiple-location raids across three states in connection with the Pakhro Tiger Safari scam and during this, they seized jewellery worth Rs 45 lakh from Rana’s locker.
