The Bharatiya Janata Party has alleged that spreading lies on the Uttarakhand Subordinate Service Selection Commission (UKSSSC) examination paper leak is part of the opposition’s negative politics.
BJP State president and Rajya Sabha member Mahendra Bhatt said that the Congress is exploiting elements who adopt shortcuts in politics, in order to spoil the atmosphere in the State. Following the implementation of the anti-copying law in Uttarakhand, a record number of elements involved in facilitating malpractices in competitive exams were arrested in the State while the exams were conducted in a transparent manner, he said.
Bhatt claimed that under the Congress government in Uttarakhand, the mafia indulging in examination malpractices thrived at the cost of the future of the youths. “Our government, especially under chief minister Pushkar Singh Dhami, succeeded in eradicating this mafia.
We implemented the nation’s strictest anti-copying law, due to which more than 200 accused persons were jailed. During the past three years alone, the government set a record of providing government jobs to 25,000 candidates and there has not been a single allegation of any irregularity.Due to transparency and honesty, the youth are managing to succeed in three to four exams at the same time,” he said.
The BJP State president said that despite such a strong examination system, the type of information being spread on social media reeks of a conspiracy. The police are investigating the matter and the entire truth will come out soon.
However, according to the facts which have surfaced so far, there is no confirmation of the paper having been leaked at any level. “According to the information which has surfaced so far, screenshots of three pages of the question paper were spread on social media and not leaked to benefit anyone. This points towards an attempt to secure political gain and defame the State. We hope that those behind this conspiracy will be exposed along with all necessary evidence in the near future,” the BJP State president said.
