Light rain likely in parts of Kumaon, temperatures remain above normal in many places

The State has been witnessing comparatively warm days and cool nights for some time now since the retreat of the monsoon. However, some parts of the Kumaon region may witness light rain on Sunday. According to the State meteorological centre, very light to light rain/thunderstorms are likely to occur at isolated places in Bageshwar and Pithoragarh districts today. Apart from this, dry weather is likely to prevail in the remaining districts of the State today.

The provisional State capital Dehradun is likely to witness a mainly clear to partly cloudy sky. The maximum and minimum temperatures are likely to be about 31 degrees Celsius and 17 degrees Celsius respectively in Dehradun today.

The maximum and minimum temperatures recorded in various parts of the State on Saturday were 30.8 degrees Celsius and 17.3 degrees Celsius respectively in Dehradun, 32 degrees Celsius and 19.4 degrees Celsius in Pantnagar, 21.5 degrees Celsius and 8.8 degrees Celsius in Mukteshwar and 21.6 degrees Celsius and 11.6 degrees Celsius in New Tehri. The maximum and minimum temperatures were above normal in various places on Saturday. The maximum and minimum temperatures were two degrees each above normal in Dehradun while the maximum was one degree and minimum was four degrees above normal in Pantnagar. The maximum temperature was two degrees above normal in Mukteshwar while the maximum temperature was a degree below normal and the minimum was a degree above normal in New Tehri.
