After a dry spell lasting a few days, some parts of five mountainous districts may experience light rain or snowfall on Monday. The weather in the rest of the State is forecast to remain dry today. According to the State meteorological centre, very light to light rain/snowfall are likely to occur at isolated places in higher reaches of Uttarkashi, Chamoli, Pithoragarh, Rudraprayag and Bageshwar districts on Monday. Dry weather is likely to prevail in the remaining districts of the State. Further, shallow to moderate fog is likely to occur in some parts of the plains in the State today.
The provisional State capital Dehradun is forecast to experience mainly clear skies with mist likely to occur during the morning hours. The maximum and minimum temperatures are likely to be about 25 degrees Celsius and 10 degrees Celsius respectively in Dehradun on Monday.
Meanwhile, the maximum and minimum temperatures recorded in various parts of the State on Sunday were 25.2 degrees Celsius and 9.6 degrees Celsius respectively in Dehradun, 22.2 degrees Celsius and nine degrees Celsius in Pantnagar, 16.7 degrees Celsius and four degrees Celsius in Mukteshwar and 17.8 degrees Celsius and 6.6 degrees Celsius respectively in New Tehri.
