Light to moderate rain/snowfall is likely to occur at a few places in Uttarkashi, Chamoli, Rudraprayag, Bageshwar and Pithoragarh districts and very light to light rain/snowfall is likely to occur at isolated places in the remaining districts of the State on Thursday. Further, snowfall is likely to occur at places situated at altitudes of 3,000 metres and above today.
The provisional State capital Dehradun is likely to experience partly to generally cloudy skies. The meteorological centre has also forecast the possibility of thunder cloud development with very light/light rain in some areas. The maximum and minimum temperatures are likely to be about 16 degrees Celsius and 10 degrees Celsius respectively in Dehradun today.
The maximum and minimum temperatures recorded in various parts of the State on Wednesday were 16.1 degrees Celsius and 7.2 degrees Celsius respectively in Dehradun, 11.6 degrees Celsius and eight degrees Celsius in Pantnagar, 17 degrees Celsius and five degrees Celsius in Mukteshwar and 16.6 degrees Celsius and 8.2 degrees Celsius respectively in New Tehri.
